Massey’s Chapel was founded in 1855, although the current building was constructed in the early 1900s. The sanctuary was given a historical designation by Durham in the mid-1980s.
2022 Update: Because of the Gospel command to love all people as God loves us, we at Massey’s Chapel are committed to our historic identity and future in the United Methodist Church, believing it is still the best means of spreading God’s grace in the world.
